John & Catherine Catholic Church, Mt. Carroll. A memorial visitation will be held 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll.

Shirley Nelson, age 57, of Savanna, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Illinois after a long illness. A funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, with Pastor Michael Wey of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in Springlake Cemetery, Savanna. Visitation was held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.

Margaret A. Friederich, age 96, of Chadwich, Illinois, died on Thursday, January 7, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Society in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2009, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chadwick, with Rev. Marcia Strahl officiating. Burial followed in the Chadwick Cemetery. Visitation was held from 3 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, at Law - Jones Funeral Home in Chadwick.

Delray “Duke” Christensen, age 89, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, January 8, 2010, at the Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, Illinois. A private family graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

Arthur Chandler Reeves,

Arthur Chandler Reeves, age 80, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at FHN Hospital, Freeport, Illinois. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, in Mt. Carroll, with Reverend Bob Ziebarth officiating. A memorial fund has been established in Arthur’s memory.

Barbara U. Adams, age 95, of Savanna, Illinois, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Society in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Savanna, with Rev. Phillip Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, rural Savanna. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Carroll County Good Samaritan Society or St. Peter Lutheran Church.
