Bernie Hook, age 85, of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna. Cremation rites will be accorded. A meal and time of fellowship will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Savanna Moose Lodge, 125 Main Street, Savanna, Illinois. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, Illinois.

Paul F. Crandall, age 81, of Hanover, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Elizabeth Nursing Home, Elizabeth, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Hanover United Presbyterian Church, Hanover, Illinois. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover. Military rites will be accorded by the Hanover VFW Post #5300. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be given to the Hanover Food Bank in Hanover.

Aaron D. Sevey, age 48, of Colorado Springs, Colorado formerly of Hanover, Illinois died Saturday, January 8, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover with Reverend David Vidler of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. In leiu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hanover VFW Post # 5300 in Aaron’s memory.

Susan Marie Ritchie

Susan Marie Ritchie, age 52, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna with Father Dennis Atto as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Antl Hall next to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna. Memorials may be given in Sue’s honor for the Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minnesota.

Carol Mae Dunnigan

Carol Mae (Disher) Dunnigan, age 77, of Savanna, Illinois and the last ten years at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at FHN Hospital, Freeport. Cremation will take place and a private family celebration of life will be held. Burial of ashes will be in Stevens Evangelical Cemetery, Flora. Memorials may be given in Carol’s memory for Heartland Pet Welfare, Savanna.
