Morrison Police Investigating Dollar General Burglaries

Morrison Police are investigating a Burglary that occurred at the Dollar General in Morrison on Thursday, January 3, 2013. At approximately 4:45 p.m., at least two suspects entered the Dollar General. As one suspect distracted employees, the other suspect entered the break room, stole employees’ wallets, and then left the store. The employees’ credit cards were later used in businesses in Clinton, Iowa and possibly the Quad City Area.

Suspect 1 is a white female, approx. 5 ft. 2 in. and 120-130 lbs, in her mid-late 40’s, wearing a long trench coat. She appears to always have her hair pulled back.

Suspect 2 in an Asian male, approx. 5 ft. 8 in., 140-150 lbs. in his mid-late 30’s. He wears a black dress jacket and glasses.

This Burglary may be connected to other similar Dollar General Burglaries that occurred in Fulton on December 31, 2012 and in Port Byron on January 3, 2013.

Chief Brian Melton is asking for the public’s help. If anyone has any information regarding these Burglaries, please contact the Morrison Police at 815-772-7659, your local law enforcement agency, or by calling the Whiteside County Crime Stoppers at (877) 625-7867. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 to anyone with information that leads to an arrest(s). Remember, you may remain anonymous!
