Whiteside County Sheriff’s Police Report

12-12-12 at 9:56 AM: Timothy J. Wodzisz, age 18 of Oswego, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 13. He was subsequently arrested for speeding 99 MPH and Operation with Expired Registration Sticker. A mandatory court date was rendered.

12-17-12 at 10:59 PM: Whiteside County Deputies, arrested Kevin T. Maroney, age 25 of Rock Falls, after conducting a traffic stop for a registration plate violation. Maroney was charged with Unlawful Display of License Plate and DUI - Drugs. He was transported to the Rock Falls Police Station, processed on the charges, and released on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Williams’ Towing out of Rock Falls.

12-18-12 at 3:10 AM: Kyle A Muller, age 21 of Kansas City, MO was stopped for speeding on I-88 at mile post 25. He was issued citation for speeding and arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis - 10-30 grams. Muller was processed at the Whiteside County Jail and posted bond.

12- 21-12 at 11:56 PM: Julian Hernandez, age 62 of Chicago, was stopped for Inoperable Registration Light on I-88 at mile post 25. Hernandez was arrested for Driving with a Revoked Driver’s License and transported to Whiteside County Jail where he posted bond and was released. 12-22-12 at 11:15 PM: Whiteside County Deputies arrested Nicole I. Winstead age 25 of Morrison on a Whiteside County Warrant. Winstead was transported to the sheriff’s office for further processing..

12-23-12 at 1:50 AM: Sarah J Powell, age 21 of Clinton, Iowa, was stopped for speeding on Route 30 at Sand Road. She was issued a citation for the speed and arrested for Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License. Powell was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where she posted bond and was released.

12-23-12 at 12:04 AM: Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch call on Hazel Road near Highland Drive, Sterling. Laurin R. McCaffrey, age 24 of Geneva, was ultimately arrested for (2) counts of DUI as well as Too Fast for Conditions. She was processed and released from the Rock Falls Police Department.

12-27-12 at 12:20 AM: Cam Lee James Boyer, age 23 of Rock Falls was stopped for an Inoperable Registration Light on Buell Road just south of Thome Road. He was issued a citation for the Inoperable Registration Light, arrested for DUI Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Cannabis. Cam was processed at the Rock Falls Police Station and released on a Notice to Appear. 12-27-12 at 4:15 AM: Deputies investigated a vehicle alongside the roadway on Thome Road ¼ mile east of Route 40 and ultimately arrested a 14 year old Rock Falls girl for No Valid Driver’s License and DUI - Drugs. She was processed at the Rock Falls Police Depart and released to her parents.

12-28-12 at 3:30 AM: Antoine Sampson, age 33 of Clinton, Iowa, was stopped by deputies on US Route 30 west of Morrison for speeding. He was subsequently arrested for Speeding 78/55 MPH, Aggravated DUI, and Driving While License Revoked. He was remanded to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and held on the felony charges.

12-28-12 at 02:18 AM: On Moline Road at Fargo, David R. Noel, age 42 of Erie, was stopped by deputies and arrested for Driving While License Suspended as well as Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He was cited and released on bond pending a future court date. Bright’s Towing assisted on scene.

12-31-12 at 7:55 PM: Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Jaime N. Schmidt, age 28 of Franklin Grove, IL, for an inoperative headlight violation. Subsequent to the traffic stop, Schmidt was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Failure to Properly Secure Child – 8 to 16 YOA. She posted her driver’s license as bond and was released without incident. Lastly, she was given a written warning for the headlight violation as well as other issues.

1-1-13 at 1:04 AM: A traffic stop for speeding on Dixon Avenue, Rock Falls, lead to the arrest of Tyler C H Pinzon, age 19 of Dixon for speeding 51/40 MPH, Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor, and Zero Tolerance Implied Consent. He was processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released on bond. A 17 YOA male passenger from Dixon was also arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor and later released to the care of his mother pending further from juvenile court services.

1-9-13 at 2:48 AM: Robert J. Brashaw, age 43 of Clinton, Iowa, was arrested on IL Route 84 at US Route 30 for No Rear Registration Light and Driving While License Suspended. He was released on bond. Fulton Police assisted on scene.

1-4-13 at 10:50 PM: Kevin H. Lucas, age 22 of Sterling, arrested for Tinted Windows and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle in Sterling. Driver’s License posted as bond.

1-5-13 at 3:05 AM: A vehicle was stopped for Expired Registration Sticker and Improper Lane Usage on IL Route 40 north of Sterling which lead to several arrests. The driver, William D. Kendrick, age 22 of Rock Falls, was cited for the noted traffic offenses. Meanwhile, the front seat passenger, 17 YOA male from Rock Falls, was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant for No Valid Driver’s License. Passengers Tyler R. Fuller, age 19 of Sterling and Tyree D. White, age 19 of Rock Falls, were arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. They were released on bond.

A second vehicle, driven by a 17 YOA female from Morrison, was stopped as well and she was cited for Following Too Close, No Valid Driver’s License – Graduated License Curfew, as well as processed for Zero Tolerance – Implied Consent. Passengers Stephanie I. Schroeder, age 18, Morgan E. Ammon, age 18, both of Sterling and Hunter L. Ristau, age 18 of Rock Falls, were all charged with Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.

All were processed at the Sterling Police Department and released on bond. Sterling Police assisted on scene.

Following the traffic arrest, Bradley R. Free, age 39 and Sandra M. Garcia, age 38, both of Sterling, were arrested on 1-7-12 at their home for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor by Alcohol – “Illinois Social Host Law.” They were released with a Notice to Appear.

1-5-13 at 8:25 PM: Deputies responded to a reported vehicle in the ditch on Ward Road west of Morrison. Thomas S. Groharing, age 51 of Fulton, was arrested for Improper Driving on Shoulder of Roadway and (2) counts of DUI. He was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released on bond. Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.

1-6-13 at 02:15 AM: Deputies encountered a male subject on Thome Road that was acting suspiciously. The male subject, Christopher D. Gallegos, age 19 of Rock Falls, was arrested for DUI and Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. He was processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released without incident. Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

1-6-13 at 10:20 PM: A vehicle stopped by deputies for loud/defective exhaust and Improper Signal in Rock Falls resulted in the arrest of passenger Ezekiel L. Benavidez, age 24 of Malius, for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released on bond without incident. Rock Falls and Sterling Police assisted on scene.

Morrison Police Report

Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following arrests made and citations issued since Monday, December 17, 2012. The following Arrests are reported.

On Saturday, December 29, 2012, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Kevin R. Kenady, age 55 of Morrison, for a traffic violation. As a result of the traffic stop and further investigation, Kenady was arrested and charged with Disobeying a Traffic Control Device and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Kenady was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on bond.

On Sunday, December 30, 2012, at approximately 1:14 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Brianna E. Connelly, age 19 of Morrison, for an equipment violation. As a result of the traffic stop and further investigation, Connelly was arrested and charged with No Rear Registration Plate Light and Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. A passenger, Amanda S. Kallemeyn, age 19 of Morrison, was also arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. Both Connelly and Kallemeyn were transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice To Appear.

12-26-12 - Ned K. McGinn , 37, Morrison; Ordinance – Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident

12-28-12 - Stacy M. Mager, NA, Morrison; Ordinance – Parking – Central Business

District – 2:30 to 6:00 am

12-30-12 -James A. Geerts, 32, Morrison; Failure to Give Information/ Accident

12-30-12 - Brandon O. Tiesman, 40, Clinton IA; No Front Registration Plate

12-31-12 - Brigette A. Vasquez, 48, Sterling; Ordinance – No Parking

1-9-13 - Jason A. Caruso, 19, Morrison; Ordinance – 24 Hour Parking/Snow Emergency

1-9-13 - Julianna Smith, 41, East Peoria; Ordinance – 24 Hour Parking/Snow Emergency

1-9-13 - Timothy E. Boonstra, 36, Morrison; Ordinance – 24 Hour Parking/Snow Emergency.

12-31-12 - Janelle L. Schroeder, 23, Clinton IA - Ordinance – Speeding

01-05-13 - Lucas A. Phillips, 27, Sterling - Expired Registration.
