65 Years for Martens

Harry (Pete) and LaVonne (Bonnie) Martens are celebrating their 65th anniversary. They were married in Sterling, IL at the Messiah Lutheran Church parsonage on October 15, 1947.

They are the parents of Connie (friend, Steven) of Largo, FL and Tim (Susan) Martens of Pearl City, IL.

There are five grandchildren: Dennis Martens, Cherry Valley, IL; Nikki McCarty, Woodstock, GA; Devin (Jolene) Martens, Pearl City, IL; Natalie (Andrew) Kindt, St. Petersburg, FL; and Derek Martens, Maryland Heights, MO. Five great-grandchildren: Kip, Sandra & Dustin Martens, Pearl City; Samuel & Genevieve Long of St. Petersburg, FL; and two step-grandchildren, Marissa & Gabriele Kindt of St. Petersburg.

The couple nOw resides at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll. You may send cards to 1006 N. Lowden Rd., Mt. Carroll, IL 61053.
