Got Ducks? Help End Violence in Our Communities

got ducks.tif

Get your lucky ducks and join Riverview Center for our 17th annual Duck Derby at the Galena Country Fair to provide free counseling and advocacy services for survivors of sexual and domestic violence in the tri-state area. Riverview Center’s mission is to create a community free of violence through violence prevention education for tens of thousands of schoolchildren, professional trainings, anti-bullying rallies, and other community awareness activities to create a safer community for us all.

Buy a duck for $5 to enter the derby (need not be present to win), or buy 4 for $20 to have four ducks in the race and to be entered into a raffle for an iPad3. The first four ducks that cross the finish line win $1,000, $750, $500 and $250 – come out to the fair to cheer for your duck!

You can buy your ducks at www.riverviewcenter.org, by calling any of our offices, or by stopping by one of our tables at the Galena Country Fair. We look forward to seeing you!

Riverview Center is creating a community free of violence by empowering individuals, fostering empathy, and developing social skills that emphasize respect, equality, and non-violent conflict resolution.

Together, we can end violence.
