Some of our local pantries are having difficulty serving the many people in need. Here is a list of local pantries and specific needs if the PA was able to contact them.
Shannon/Lanark Food Pantry

Hours of operation: 1st & 3rd Tues 2-4 pm
Especially needed: canned soup, juice, canned vegetables, saltine crackers, Monetary donations for meat, Thanksgiving and Hams.
There are drop off boxes at Shannon Bank and the Lanark Library.
Savanna Food Pantry
926 Viaduct Rd., Savanna, 61074
Hours of operation: Tues & Thurs 9 am-noon
Especially needed: Juice, cereal, saltine crackers, cans of ravioli - spaghettis, beef stew, household supplies. Monetary donations for Meat, and Thanksgiving Turkeys, Hams.
Morrison Friends Food Pantry
United Methodist Church at 203 W. Knox, Morrison, IL.
Hours of operation: Thursday from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Offers canned food, commodities, toiletries, and donations from the community. Recipients are eligible once every month and must be a resident of Morrison, IL. Income guidelines apply. Call 815-772-3169 for more information.
The Milledgeville Helping Hands Food Pantry
400 Main Ave in downtown Milledgeville.
Hours of operation are 9-11 a.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.
The Chadwick-Milledgeville Ministerial Association sponsors the pantry.
