Dance Orchestra & Veterans’ Tribute at Savanna Museum and Cultural Center
In honor of our veterans, the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center will host its first ever professional dance band on Saturday, November 2. With our VFW and American Legion Posts directly across Main Street, it’s a heartfelt honor to celebrate our veterans who have endured individual tests of military service in defense of our beloved and God fearing republic.
The band will perform a tribute to veterans around 3:30 pm. Veterans and a guest are invited to attend for free. Tickets can be purchased at the Savanna-Thomson State and THE National Banks in Savanna for $10 or for $12 at the door. Doors open at 1 p.m. The dance is from 2 to 6 pm. Pop, coffee and a variety of chips will be available at the museum.
The Lyle Beaver & the Brass Notes Band is a Midwestern favorite of those who frequent the dance halls and ballrooms. Most people would be surprised to know how many are still operating with new venues being created each year. In December, Lyle Beaver will travel to Texas to play his winter schedule where many grandmas and grandpas go to dance for the winter.
