Congratulations, Mr. Erbsen!

Carl Erbsen has been selected as the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom “Teacher of the Year.” A second grade teacher at Eastland Elementary in Lanark, Erbsen was nominated by the Ogle-Carroll County Agriculture Literacy Program and Carroll County Farm Bureau. He will be honored along with the Teacher of the Year Runner-Up, at the IAA Annual Meeting on Saturday evening, December 1, 2012 at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago. Erbsen began his teaching career at Eastland in 1994. He was raised on a dairy farm and continues to work on the family farm. He and his wife, Becky have two children, Nevin and Nathan.
