Lillian M. Cook

Lillian M. Cook, 94, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. She was a homemaker.

Born September 9, 1918 in Milledgeville she was a daughter of Harry and Jessie (Meakins) Bowders. She married George Cook in 1939. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1976. Lillian was a member of the Milledgeville Brethren Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Sue McGinn of Phoenix, AZ; a son Gary (Beth) Cook of Rock Falls; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Tuesday, October 30 at Milledgeville Brethren Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Jim Black officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, Milledgeville. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Lucille E. Petersen, age 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, previously of Thomson, Illinois died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, Illinois. A graveside service will follow at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Savanna. Memorials may be given to First Congregational UCC, Cedar Rapids or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Savanna.

Arthur Mueller

Funeral services for Arthur Mueller, age 82 of Souris, North Dakota,, were held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Officiating at the service was the Reverend David Hayes. Casket bearers were Gary Linton, Jr, Andrew Linton, Steven Snider, Coby Snider, Wayne Rosendahl and Greg Thingelstad. Military honors were presented by the Bottineau County Veterans and the North Dakota National Guard. Burial was at the Bethesda Cemetery near Souris.

Glen Doty

Glen “Bud” Doty, age 86 of Savanna Illinois, died on Friday, October 12, 2012 surrounded by his family at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date.

William Joseph “Joe” Geiger, age 86, of Hanover, Illinois, died on Monday, October 22, 2012, at Midwest Medical Center in Galena, Illinois. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Galena. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at Law – Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth, Illinois.
