Hartman Honored For Service As Jo-Carroll Solid Waste Agency Chairman
The Jo-Carroll Solid Waste Agency recently elected new Board officers and recognized the contribution of the previous Chairperson,
Paul Hartman. Paul recently retired from the Solid Waste Board after providing over 15 years of service which included the planning and formation
of the Agency. Paul was Public Works Director for the City of Savanna when he joined the Solid Waste Agency and had been instrumental
in development of the Savanna Transfer Station, a facility which serves NW Illinois residents in many ways including as a recycling drop-off center.
Taking over as Chairperson is a longtime Solid Waste Agency Board member, Robert Spoerl of Elizabeth. Other current Board members include:
Vice Chairperson Les Guenzler of Lanark, Treasurer Darrell Roberts, Stockton, Secretary Lisa Venner, Mt. Carroll, and Directors John Boelkins, Mt.
Carroll, Kurt Dreger, Savanna, Dale Roberts, Stockton, and Bernice Hill, Stockton.
The public is invited to all Agency meetings which are held quarterly during January, April, July, and October, on the 4th Thursday, at 7:00
p.m. Meetings are conducted on a rotating basis at University of Illinois Extension offices in Elizabeth and Mt. Carroll.
