Janice Eileen Boelkens, 67, of Milledgeville, IL entered the presence of the Lord, Monday, November 4, 2013 while her loving husband was at her side at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton, IA.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2013 at Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, IL with Pastor Herb Bollman, Pastor at Faith Reformed Church in Lanark, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Morrison, IL. Memorials may be given toFaith Reformed Church in Lanark, IL & Unity Christian Schools in Fulton, IL.

Janice was born October 5, 1946 to Edward E. and Marian G. (VanderEide) Newendyke in Morrison, IL. She attended Garden Plain, Cottonwood and Union Grove Grade Schools and graduated from Morrison High School, Morrison, IL. She later attended the Clinton Business College.

On March 7, 1969, Janice married Donald J. Boelkens in Fulton, IL.

She worked at the Albany First Trust and Savings Bank, the Farmers State Bank in Chadwick, IL, and later worked at the Goodwill in Sterling, IL. Jan was also a caregiver and companion for many residents in the Carroll County area. Jan was a former member of she was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, and presently a member at Faith Reformed Church in Lanark, IL. Jan enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, and traveling the area to listen to gospel quartets.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; two brothers: Elwyn (Iola) Newendyke of New Boston, MO and LaVerne Newendyke of Morrison, IL; Three Sisters-In-Law: Joyce (Randy) Stenback of German Valley, IL, Janet Winters of Milledgeville, IL, and Jane (Dana) Miller of Mt. Carroll, IL. Three Brothers-In-Law: Delbert (Dorothy) Boelkens of Forreston, IL, David (Jan) Boelkens of Lanark, IL, and Stanley Boelkens of Milledgeville, IL; Two Aunts: Evelyn (Floyd) Perkins and Jessie VanderEide; One Uncle: Carl (Wilma) VanderEide; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deceased Relatives include her Parents; Mother-In-Law & Father-In-Law: Clarence & Bertha Boelkens.

Patricia Sue Turney

Patricia Sue Turney loved to experience the United States by traveling throughout the country with her husband Gary. She went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the age of 68, at home in Fairhaven, after an 18-month battle with cancer.

Patricia enjoyed her retirement to the fullest by traveling with her husband, Gary, in their 5th-wheel trailer, visiting her daughter and grandchildren in Seattle, Washington, and also visiting her son and grandchildren in North Liberty, Iowa. They spent many summers at the Big-H Campground in Cassville, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River and winters at the Sunrise RV Park in Apache Junction, Arizona. She also loved baking for her grandchildren and especially “lunching” with her girlfriends. Patricia liked gardening, shopping, collecting Pandas, watching Chicago sports and NASCAR, and just spending time with family and friends.

Patricia was born January 7, 1945 in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Olive (Mackey) St. Clair. She is a graduate of the Chadwick High School with the Class of 1963. On February 18, 1967, Patricia married Gary Turney, they celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Patricia began working for General Electric in Morrison in 1966 and retired in 2003. During her years at GE, she worked the lines and then transferred to the Press Room. She attended Sauk Valley College to become a Quality Control Inspector for GE until her retirement. While at General Electric, she made a lifetime of dear friends.

Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Morrison, where she was a member and past-president of the Catholic Women. Patricia also belonged to the General Electric Gem Club. When her children were young she served as a 4-H Leader and a Brownie Leader. During retirement, she enjoyed years as a board member of Advantage One Credit Union, Morrison.

Patricia will be dearly missed by her husband, Gary of Fairhaven; her daughter, Peggy Sue (Bret) Chase of Issaquah, Washington; her son Lee (Karla) Turney of North Liberty, Iowa; four grandchildren, Cole and Samantha Chase and Cooper and Paxton Turney; father in-law, Paul Turney; and brother in-law, Ray Burkholder. Patricia is preceded in death by both parents; her sister, Marlene Burkholder; two sisters in-infancy; mother in-law, Beth Turney; and brother in-law, David Turney.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Church of St. Mary. Morrison with Father William Antillon as Celebrant. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll with a Rosary Service at 3:30 p.m.. Ronald Laverne Gronewold

Ronald Laverne “Fuzz” Gronewold, 71 yrs. old, of Lanark passed away on Mon. Nov. 4, 2013 at his home. He was born in Freeport, IL March 2, 1942 the son of Ralph & Lillian (Koning) Gronewold. Ronald graduated from Forreston High School in 1960, on Feb. 27, 1981 he married Linda Miller; and later became the owner of the Gronewold Corp. Insurance Agency. Ronald was a member of the North Grove Church.

Ronnie enjoyed farming, coaching spending time with his kids & grandkids, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and he was an avid Cubs & Bears fan.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Patty (Jim) Rabideau, Angie (Judd) Miller, Cathy (Dale) Mansfield, his son Andrew (Ashley) Gronewold, 15 grandchildren: Caroline, Cathleen, Katelynn Rabideau, Anni, Trey, Konner, Austin & Kodi Miller, Lily, Anna, Mackenzie & Emily Mansfield; Weston, Colton, & Diem Gronewold, his brother Richard (Roxi) Gronewold, and sisters Barb Godsil, & Teresa (Russ) Carlock.

Ronald is preceded by his parents Ralph & Lillian Gronwold and his in-laws Ernest & Alma Miller.

Edwin C. Butts

Edwin Carl Butts, 87 yrs. old, of Lanark passed away on Wed. Nov. 6, 2013 in his home. He was born on July 8, 1926 in Loran, a son of Paul and Delma (Palmer) Butts.

He served with the Navy Seabees in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Ed was a lifetime member of both the Savanna VFW and the Lanark American Legion.

He married Barbara Smith on Sept. 21, 1950. He was a retired Lanark carpenter and enjoyed refinishing antiques and was an avid fisherman. Ed was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Lawrence Butts of Bloomington and Bradley Butts of Lanark, two grandchildren, Justin Michael Butts and Jody Matthews Butts of Bloomington, two brothers, Paul (Mabel) Butts of TN and Verle (Sharon) Butts of Freeport and a sister-in-law, Betty(Arvil) Devore of Freeport.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife in 2005 and two brothers, Kenneth Butts and Ellis Butts.

Services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark with Pastor Philip Mathai officiating. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark.

A memorial has been established in his memory.

James B. Plog

James B. Plog, age 90, of Milledgeville, died Saturday, November 9, 2013.

James was born September 25, 1923, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of George and Rose (Helfrich) Plog. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married LaRue Geary on September 18, 1948 in Milledgeville. He was employed as a truck driver for Plog Trucking. He was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Milledgeville; two daughters, Polly Nobis of Milledgeville and Susan (Ron) Meador of Chadwick; one son, Tom (Perri) Plog of Milledgeville; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Milledgeville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Rosa Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Milledgeville United Methodist Church and the Milledgeville Fire Department.

Clifford E. Boop, age 81 of Hanover, Illinois, died Friday, November 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Law- Jones Funeral Home, Hanover.

Linda Priegel, 55, of Elizabeth, Illinois, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at the home she grew up in. A private family service will be held in Elizabeth with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Linda’s memory for Hospice of Dubuque 1670 John F. Kennedy Road, Dubuque, Iowa 52002.
