New Home For Twice-Sold Tales

Twice-Sold Tales, the gently used bookstore run by the Friends of the Lanark Public Library (FLPL), has found a new home! The bookstore will relocate to The Special Touch’s Unique Mall, 504 IL Route 64 in Lanark. The move, a result of office expansion into the space it previously occupied, will take place in January 2013.

The FLPL plans to keep the bookstore open through December 29, close during January, and reopen in February. The bookstore’s hours will be extended to match those of The Special Touch at that time, providing greater access to its customers.

The FLPL wants to thank Rosemary Flikkema for generously donating her space so Twice-Sold Tales could continue to offer great condition, inexpensive books to the community while supporting the Lanark Public Library’s programs.

To thank the community for its support, Twice-Sold Tales is holding a BOGO with a Twist sale through December. For each paperback book sold, the customer will receive a free paperback; for each hardcover sold, customers may choose a free hardcover or two free paperbacks. (This sale excludes Crème de la Crème books.) Remember too, that Saturday hours are 10 am to 3 pm from now through December 22nd.

Looking for a gift for a reader but don’t know what they want? Gift certificates are available. The Crème de la Crème section is filled with recent titles by bestselling authors and gift books, all in nearly new condition. Throughout December the bookstore will feature holiday books and magazines, including children’s Christmas stories, holiday crafts and recipes, and decorating ideas.

The Friends of the Lanark Public Library is excited about the new location, the greatly extended hours, and the additional changes to come. Watch The Prairie Advocate News for future updates.
