JoAnn Weber

JoAnn Weber, age 81, of Lanark, Illinois, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Carroll County Good Samaritan Society in Mount Carroll, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Lanark United Methodist Church, with Reverend Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will take place in the Lanark Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Lanark United Methodist Church. JoAnn was born on April 20, 1931, the daughter of J.G. and Geneva (Borreson) Asay in Mount Carroll, Illinois. JoAnn married Lawrence Weber on November 21, 1949 in Chadwick, Illinois. Lawrence died on October 18, 2008.

JoAnn was a Bus Driver for the Lanark and later Eastland School District for twenty-seven years, before retiring in 1992. She was a longtime member of the Lanark United Methodist Church. JoAnn loved spending time with her family, friends and her dog, Smokey.

JoAnn will be dearly missed by her children, Jane (Mike) Manske, of Park Falls, WI, Larry Weber of Mt. Carroll, Linda ( Dick Bodine) Coomes of Urbana, IL, Beth (Gary) Cook of Rock Falls, and Tom (Judy) Weber of Lanark, IL; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; one sister Arlene Derrer and one brother, Guy Asay.

Artie Eugene Branson, age 90, of Sabula, Iowa, previously of Effingham, Illinois, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Illinois. Cremation will take place and Inurnment will be at a later date.

Lorene Massie

Lorene Massie, age 79, of Savanna, Illinois died Monday, January 28, 2013 at HCR Manor Care, Utica Ridge, Davenport, Iowa. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna, with Father David Austin as Celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Wilma Marie Mischnick

Wilma Marie Mischnick, age 92, of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Savanna.

Richard E. Dasenbrock

Richard E. (Dick) Dasenbrock, 81, of Savanna died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Big Meadows Nursing Home following a short illness. Cremation rites will be accorded. He is survived by a sister-in-law, a nephew and 2 nieces and many, many good friends
