PART II—WEATHER. It’s all up and down or swirling around in Northwest Illinois. It’s seldom the same two or three days in a row so we don’t get bored! Perhaps, deserts or mountain valleys have relatively calm weeks but knowing the United States they’d be active too.

Eight Teams Compete in 2013 Academic Bowl

The 2013 WCCI Academic Bowl is set for Thursday, March 14 from 1 to 5 pm at Antl Hall in Savanna. Eight area high school teams will compete for this year’s title.

Quarterfinal matches pit Stockton vs. Fulton at 1 pm; Eastland vs Scales Mound at 1:30 pm; Milledgeville and West Carroll face off at 2 pm; while River Ridge and Pearl City meet at 2:30 pm.

Semifinal rounds are planned for 3 and 3:30 respectively. The Third Place match will be held at 4 pm, with the title match at 4:30.

All matches will air live on WCCI 100.3 FM and www.wcciradio.com . Admission is free and spectators are welcome.
