A large number of people attended the Health and Wholeness Fair held at the West Carroll Middle School in Mount Carroll on Saturday, March 9, 2013. The fair was sponsored by the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mount Carroll.

Many vendors were on hand to demonstrate their services, and give out free merchandise. Door prizes were drawn every half hour.

(RT) Licensed Massage Therapist JoAnn Hook of Open Lotus Massage in Mount Carroll demonstrates Sound Healing with Tuning Forks on Janice Smith at the Health and Wholesness Fair. Hook says, “The use of tuning forks has been shown to reduce stress, offers relaxation, increases blood flow, and promotes a higher level of concentration.” Hook offers sound healing at her business in downtown Mount Carroll, but said she often incorporates tuning forks into massage or reflexology.
