Candidates Forums in Print, in Person, and On Line

Attention all candidates: Why are you running? What expertise can you bring to the position you aspire to?

The Prairie Advocate readers want to know. The communities of Chadwick, Hanover, Lanark, Milledgeville, Morrison, Mount Carroll, Pearl City, Savanna, Shannon, and Thomson receive The Prairie Advocate News through the US Mail every week. Plus, an additional 3000 to 5000 visit www.pacc-news.com to keep up with current state and local news.

Please submit your answers to the above two questions in the following manner:

- Two paragraphs, up to 200 words max.

- Submit on or before FRIDAY, MARCH 29 for inclusion in the “Meet the Candidates” issue planned for the last week before the election in the Wed., April 3 issue.

The following “Meet the Candidates Event” forums are engaged to be an opportunity for the electorate of these communities to meet the candidates and hear their positions on local issues prior to the April 9, 2013 elections.

The Prairie Advocate News will publish in print and post articles about these forums on their web site at www.pacc-news.com for the convenience of those who cannot attend the events in person.

‘Meet the Candidates’ Forum for Morrison Mayor and City Council

In anticipation of the upcoming April 9, 2013 elections, the Morrison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will host a “Meet the Candidates” night on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Morrison Community Room, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.

Meet the Candidates in Mount Carroll

Meet the candidates running for various positions in Mount Carroll Government.

The meeting will be held at the Market Street Commons (Kraft Building) in downtown Mount Carroll on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7:00 PM.

Lanark ‘Meet the Candidates’

The Lanark Chamber of Commerce will host a “Meet the Candidates” night on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 106 S. Broad Street, Lanark, IL. The event will be moderated by Tom Kocal of The Prairie Advocate News.
