Music and Magic in Savanna theatergoers will be delighted with the musical vocals of two dynamic singers when they perform on April 26, 27, and 28th, at the Alan and Adrianne St. George Center for the Arts, 800 Chicago Avenue. Michael S. Dunavant and Talia Marie Aull will showcase both singularly and as a duet, their amazing talents.
Event host, Alan St. George says, “Their youth, charisma and stage presence will impress everyone in the audience.”
Michael S. Dunavant recently starred in the highly successful Boston production of the Broadway musical, Ragtime. The production earned awards from Broadway World, the Elliot Norton Theatre Association, and the Independent Reviewers of New England. When out of Savanna, Michael resides in New York City, where he appeared as The Geek in the Off-Broadway Revival of Side Show.
Talia Marie Aull, is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Vocal Performance. This is her second appearance in Music and Magic in Savanna. She is currently playing “Polly” in Pirate Pete’s Parrot in New York. She recently played Meg in Little Women (New York), and preformed with the NYC Kammermusiker and in The Vagina Monologues in the 2012 V-Day New Orleans Campaign to stop violence against women and girls.
Michael S. Dunavant & Talia Marie Aull met at Louisiana State University in the summer of 2006, they have been best friends ever since. They have appeared together throughout the country in countless productions and concerts. The dynamic duo is hot in demand due to the combination of their on stage chemistry and highest standard of vocal quality.
Hosted by Alan St. George, the charity event will benefit The Savanna Historical Society and Adrianne’s Angels Pet Rescue. Since 2008, St. George has hosted Magic in Savanna, bringing world class entertainment to the area, along with other special events at the theatre to help area non- profit organizations.
The family-friendly event will also feature magicians Joel Ward, David Sandy and Lance Rich. It is possible that other magical moments might occur to surprise theatergoers. You have to see it to believe it!
Performances will be held Friday and Saturday evenings and a matinee performance Sunday afternoon. Free popcorn and beverages will be served during intermission. Curtain time for the evening performances will be 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 for preferred seating, $17 for general admission seating. Children under the age of 18, in the general seating section are $12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The theatre is not handicapped accessible. No strollers are allowed.
