Congratulations goes out to Rhett Coatney who is one of our COUNTRY Financial agents in the county. Rhett has earned membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). It is a great honor for him to have received this recognition.
MDRT membership is attained by life insurance agents who are members of their local underwriters association and have excelled in identifying life insurance products that fit the needs of their clients. MDRT is an international, independent association of nearly 30,000 leading sales professionals in the life insurance business. MDRT members demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service. The Round Table’s membership represents the top life insurance and financial service professionals worldwide. Congratulations again Rhett!
I had my building walk through with John Scott from Jo-Carroll Energy. Luckily there was nothing major other than the freezers I already unplugged, but there were a number of small things we can do to reduce our electrical bill here at the office. One of the biggest items is making sure that you have enough insulation in your attic. Also, another tip is to not have outlets on an outside wall. If you are interested in an assessment of your house and ways to save, please give John a call. They also offer rebates for various energy saving upgrades.
Mark your calendars now! The Women’s Committee will again be doing their Value of Corn in Livestock Feed Hamburger promotion. We will be hosting in on Friday, May 24th here at the office. This will be the third year of the program and we hope that we have the kinks worked out. Last year we had some issues with the program being taken advantage of. So this year the ladies are adding a restriction of two burgers per person and you must be present to purchase. We apologize for the issues from last year and hope that our new restrictions take care of any issues and we are able to serve more people.
The date has been set for this year’s Membership Appreciation Breakfast. It will be held on Friday, June 28th here at the office from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. We will be serving whole hog sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs. Postcards have been printed and will be in the mail late May. Yes, we are on top of things here at the office.
Is spring here? There is certainly the smell of a wet dog outside which is a sure sign. Hopefully all these April showers have brought plenty of moisture to start this year’s crops off in the right direction. I do have to say that the Farmer’s Almanac here at the office is off. It says it is to be mild and dry last week, well, we had anything but that! I am crossing my fingers that rain in the next two months comes during the week in order to avoid baseball rainouts and wet tournaments as our baseball schedule allows only one free weekend between now and the end of June! I am ready to watch some ball!
