Recycle Electronics Equipment & Appliances in Savanna

All Northwest Illinois residents and businesses are invited to participate in an electronics and appliance recycling event June 6. The collection times are 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and will take place at the parking lot next to the Savanna Fire Department. The Savanna Fire Department parking lot is located at the junction of Chicago Avenue and Main Street which is also Highway Route 52/64.

Computer monitors and televisions, including flat screens, have a $10.00 fee. Large screen televisions (30" and over), and console type televisions and radios have a higher cost. Large appliances also have a $10.00 fee. Large screen televisions, and console type televisions and radios have a higher cost. Large appliances include refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers and dryers, window air conditioners, de-humidifiers, microwaves, and hot water heaters.

Many electronic devices and small appliances may be dropped off free of charge. Some examples are: hard drives, keyboards, printers, scanners, telephones, cell phones, fax machines, photocopiers, calculators, radios, stereos, boom boxes, VCRs, DVD players, blenders, toasters, fans, electric heaters, and various other small appliances.
