'Mississippi Man' Featured at Savanna River Front Festival

River Front Festival '08, Music on the Mississippi, will be held Friday, June 20 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Marquette Park in Savanna, the Savanna Chamber of Commerce announced. The evening's entertainment starts at 6:00 with performances by the West Carroll High School Jazz Band and Jazz Combo. Beginning at 7:00 is the featured band, "Mississippi Man," playing a wide variety of music including blues, rock, county, and big band standards.

The Chamber will have food and beverages available for all tastes and ages - a perfect way to spend a Friday summer evening along the banks of the Mississippi. Please remember to bring your ID. There is no admission to this event thanks to the event sponsorship of Savanna Thomson State Bank and THE National Bank at the Steamboat level; Stout's Drug Store at the Tugboat level; Blue Appraisals and The Prairie Advocate News at the Flatboat level; First Savanna Savings Bank, Jo Carroll Energy, and Savanna Woman's Club at Canoe level. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs and plan on spending an enjoyable evening with us listening and dancing along the banks of the mighty Mississippi.
