‘A Chair Flair’ - Welcome to Lanark

The Friends of the Lanark Public Library are inviting Lanark area businesses, organizations, churches, and residents to get involved with promoting and beautifying the City of Lanark for Old Settlers’ Day weekend and the Carroll County Garden Tour, from June 22 to July 1. This will be a great way to draw attention to the community during both events.

All it will take to participate is an old chair of some variety with an arrangement of flowers and plants placed on or in place of the seat. Chairs may be left in rough condition or painted, business name or logo added, or any other adornments used as well. FLPL ask that chairs be prominently displayed outside your place of business or home every day during those two weeks for everyone to enjoy. Or better yet, start right now!

The Lanark Fire & Ambulance Department has found a clever use of a wheelchair to welcome you to the community!
