Carroll County:

GUILTY ON DRUG CHARGES

Jennifer Moore, Thomson, pled guilty to three felony drug charges and was sentenced June 8 to 18 months periodic imprisonment with credit for 135 day served. She will remain in custody until a bed is available at a rehab facility. She was also sentenced to five years TASC probation. She pled guilty to using a structure/vehicle for manufacturing of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, and possession of methamphetamine. She also pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis, both misdemeanors. Fines and court costs on all charges total $4,296.

Terrence Hudson, Hanover, pled guilty June 11 to possession of manufacturing materials and possession of meth precursor, less than 15 grams. He was sentenced to 180 days periodic imprisonment, given credit for 137 day served. He will be on three years probation and must undergo alcohol and drug treatment. Fines and court costs totaled $2,450.

GUILTY PLEAS

Richard Haring Jr., no address given, pled guilty to theft over $50 and less than $10,000 and was placed on two years probation and ordered to pay fines and restitution totaling $4,335.

Michelle Lyman, Savanna, pled guilty to battery June 8 and was sentenced to 12 months court supervision and fined $494.

John Stokes, Savanna, pled guilty to possession of cannabis, less that 2.5 grams, and was placed on 12 months probation and fined $704.

Whiteside County:

6/15/12 10:45 pm - After receiving a tip from Whiteside County Crimestoppers, Deputies responded to rural farm land southeast of the intersection of Black Rd and Fenton Rd in rural Whiteside County. Upon investigation the following arrests were made: Tommy L Engelkens, 19 of Albany; Thomas J Becker, 19 of Prophetstown; Gary D Miller, 18 of Morrison; William L Helms, 18 of Morrison; Brandon D Schmidt, 19 of Erie; Breeann Sharp, 19 of Morrison; and 2 Juveniles. All Subjects were charged with Illegal Consumption of Alcohol as a minor. Upon further investigation more charges may be pending. Whiteside County Deputies were assisted on scene by the Illinois State Police.

06/16/12 10:54pm - Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a ATV at Harvey Rd and End St in Galt. Upon investigation Charles M Gaumer IV, 36 of Sterling was charged with DUI, and improper operation of ATV on roadway. Gaumer was released on a notice to appear in court.

6/17/12 3:02 am - Whiteside County Deputies were called to the report of a traffic crash at the intersection of Luther Rd and Fargo Rd in Rural Tampico. Upon arrival on scene deputies discovered a 2005 Chevy Cobalt resting on its top with nobody around. Upon locating the owner and another passenger at a residence in the area, the driver, Nicholas A Zigler, 22, of Tampico was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to reduce speed. Both Zigler and his passenger, Simon Moore of Glendale Heights, were uninjured in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Tampico Fire and Ambulance at the scene.

Luedtke, NA, Port Byron, Ordinance – Parking on Sidewalk; 6-09-12, Darrin T. Rus, 38, Morrison, Ordinance – Parking – Right Wheels to Curb Only; 6-09-12, Chelsea R. Bates, 24, Davenport IA, Speeding; 6-10-12, Melinda B. Miller, 36, Morrison, Ordinance – Parking – Right Wheels to Curb Only.

The following Arrests are reported: On Friday, June 15, 2012, at approximately 10:30 pm, Morrison Police arrested Marcel L. Roggy, age 35 of Morrison, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County charging Roggy with Domestic Battery. Roggy was escorted to the Whiteside County Jail where she was processed, posted the required bond, and was given a court date of July 16, 2012 at 9:00 am.

On Friday, June 15, 2012, at approximately 4:45 am, Morrison Police arrested Terry R. Brands, age 17 of Morrison, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County charging Brands with Failure to Appear – Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Brands was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

The following Citations were issued: 6-09-12, Zeng Q. Yang, 34, Morrison - Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident; 6-10-12, Julie L. Orr, 35, Rockford - No Valid Registration; 6-11-12, Katherine G. Bird, 16, Morrison - Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident; 6-15-12, Jeremiah Reynolds, 32, Albany, Speeding; 6-17-12, Rachel M. Bush, 27, Fulton, Ordinance – Parking - Central Business District 2:30 am to 6:00 am.
