Lanark Food Center: Proud to be a Part of the Lanark Community

By Lynnette Forth For The Prairie Advocate News

LANARK – Giving back to the community is what a small town is all about. Trushar Patel, owner of Lanark Food Center, knows first hand what being involved in a local business is all about.

Owning the grocery store since 2008, Patel is proud to offer a variety of quality products to the citizens of Lanark and surrounding communities. “A percentage of the sales tax you pay goes back into our city, helping our community and the town itself,” Patel added.

“Community support means most of my customer base is from this town. Without the people of Lanark, we wouldn’t be here. The economy is tough for everyone right now. I am so grateful for the residents,” Patel stated.

Employing 9 people, some of which include family, the small store prides itself in customer service. One local favorite is the Friday Cook-outs that the store hosts, featuring food items hot off the grill. Besides offering grocery items, the Lanark Food Center offers a fresh meat counter, deli, bakery, a dairy section, and fresh produce.

Patel and all of the employees at Lanark Food Center are proud to represent the community of Lanark. Stop in and help support the City of Lanark. The Lanark Food Center is open Monday-Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
