LANARK – James Hazelbower has a lengthy background in automotive service and is eager to continue serving the citizens of Lanark with the re-opening of Southside Service, located at 614 W. Il. Route 64.
After graduating from Lanark High School in 1981, Hazelbower worked in the industrial supply business in Rock Falls, and has owned the current property since 2002.
Southside Service offers many services to customers including: oil changes, exhaust service, tire repair and sales (featuring all major brands), brakes, shocks, wipers, and major and minor repairs.
Currently the only employee, Hazelbower hopes to add more employees with the growth of the business. “My hope is to enclose the canopy and add four more service bays,” Hazelbower said.
The most convenient service that Southside Service offers is being able to provide oil changes while the customer waits. Hazelbower proudly offers all major brands of oil including: Pennzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline, and Mobil 1, with the intent to meet each customers preference. Currently, an oil change can be done in as little as 20-30 minutes. “I try to get people in and out,” James added. Major repair jobs do require an appointment.
Offering competitive pricing, convenient hours, and free job quotes, Southside Service is prepared to meet all of your automotive needs. Southside Service is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and can be reached at 815-493-3016.
“Stop in and see the improvements, and check us out,” Hazelbower added.
