Safe Haven Reduces Adoption Fee

ELIZABETH Safe Haven Humane Society has been working hard to find each and every beautiful cat and kitten a wonderful home. To encourage adoptions and make it a little easier on the wallet, Safe Haven has reduced their adoption fee from $75 to $40 per cat.

The adoption package has not changed, and is more than ever, a great value. The package includes initial vaccinations, Rabies vaccination (6 months and older), parasite check/deworming, spaying/neutering and microchip ID.

Safe Haven Humane Society is offering this program to increase adoptions when the shelter is experiencing a high population of cats and kittens. It is also intending to encourage families to enjoy the health and emotional benefits of pet companions.

Safe Haven asks that you consider adopting more than one cat for these reasons: cats that have a playmate tend to be more socially well-adjusted and avoid behavior problems like shyness, biting, hissing, being frightened and hiding in the company of people they do not know; if you must work long hours or travel for a couple of days, two or more cats keep each other company and are more tranquil during your absence; and, your cat will remain more playful and youthful into his later years with a companion.

All adoption applications are carefully screened by Safe Haven Humane Society to ensure a loving, forever home. The program is offered for a limited time and may be discontinued at any time.

To learn more, please call Safe Haven Humane Society at 815-858-2265.
