CC Relay 4 Life 2012 Successful

“We had a wonderful event this year and we [the committee] want to thank you for all that you do to support this event,” said event co-chair Christiene Gable.

“It never ceases to amaze me how much we can accomplish when we work together. We had a great committee, 17 teams participating and many more individuals and businesses supporting this event, held Saturday, June 23. Over 130 people attended the Survivor Dinner held at the United Methodist Church in Mount Carroll (81 of those being survivors). We had 430 luminaria around the track. As of close of accounting at the event, we have raised $62,000 and there is still more to be turned in.”

Gable said the Wrap-Up Meeting is set for July 9th at 6 PM at Land of Oz in Mount Carroll. All committee members, team captains, and participants are invited.

“At this meeting, we will confirm the date for the 2013 Relay which will also be in Mount Carroll at the West Carroll Middle School. We will discuss this year’s event: what went well and what we can improve upon.”

Teams can sign up for the 2013 Relay at the meeting. Final numbers will be announced at that time along with each team’s total and those people achieving Grand Club status (raising at least $1000 as an individual).
