HANOVER – The River Ridge School Board revealed a large number of changes to their extra-curricular staff assignments at their June 18th, 2012 meeting.
Board members Don McLane, Barb Schaible, Raymie Diestelmeier, Merri Sevey, Dr. Allen Crist, and President David Howard attended, with Matt Wild absent. Also attending were District Superintendent Brad Albrecht, Principals Mike Foltz (High School/Middle School), Beau Buchs (Elementary School), and District Secretary Kay Bailey.
Diestelmeier told the Board that Kevin Kleckner, whom Albrecht noted was originally from the Stockton area, has been hired as the new Area Vocational Center Director and will begin those duties in July.
Dr. Crist read a lengthy Prevailing Wage Resolution which was unanimously approved by the Board.
Mr. Albrecht was chosen as the individual assigned to review and/or sign off on financial statements of the District, and the Board also quickly approved the 2012-2013 Board meeting dates, with most meetings occurring at 7:00 unless there is a school activity that interferes with that time. There are also two Tuesday meeting dates scheduled for the following year.
Foltz gave the Board a detailed list of Extra-curricular staff changes for the upcoming school year. These included Bruce Kutz as Middle School assistant football coach, Dave Wiegel as high school girls’ basketball coach, Krista Fry as freshman girls’ basketball coach, Jeremy Knauer as baseball coach, Ruth Foley as Assistant softball coach, Doug Vandigo as Assistant Academic Bowl coach, Renee Gapinski as Middle School Student Council Advisor, and Judy Tippett as Middle School Drama Coach.
In his brief report, Albrecht told the Board that the District will advertise for a bus coordinator/maintenance person, kitchen help and substitute bus drivers and announced that the building project is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2013. Other dates noted by the Superintendent were student registration (August 9th and 10th) from noon to 8 pm, new buses scheduled to arrive on July 23rd, and the District audit, on the 23rd and 24th of July.
No executive session was held. River Ridge School Board meetings are generally held on the third Monday of each month, and are open to the public.
