80th Birthday Bash

Calling all fishermen! The master of fishing, Big John McConnel, Sr. is gearing up to celebrate his 80th birthday. His family is working to lure in friends, neighbors and relatives to an Open House in his honor on Saturday, July 14th, from 2 to 4 pm. at the Mount Carroll Community House, 101 Main Street, (corner of Main & Center Sts.)

Fresh bait to reel you in will be snacks and of course, sweets.

In lieu of presents, a non perishable food item for the food pantry would be appreciated.

The McConnel family is looking forward to seeing you there.

Jilderda-VanMatre to Wed

Bill and Kristy VanMatre of Lanark are proud to announce the forthcoming union of their daughter, Jodeane Rae VanMatre to Mint Jilderda.

On July 27th, 2012 a wedding ceremony will be held at the Wisconsin Dells where the couple will exchange marriage vows.

Jodeane is a graduate of Eastland High School and is employed in the parts department at Sloan Implement of Lanark, IL.

Mint is the son of Mint and Carol Jilderda of Milledgeville. He graduated from Chadwick-Milledgeville High School and Blong Tech Center and is now employed as a welder for John Deere Davenport Works.

The couple reside in Lanark, Illinois.
