GUILTY PLEAS

Andrew Margis, no address given, pled guilty to possession of meth manufacturing material and was sentenced to 90 days in jail (credit for 45 days) and placed on 30 months probation. He was fined $2,439 for the Class 2 felony.

Trey Enloe, Thomson, pled guilty to residential burglary and was sentenced to 18 months of periodic imprisonment (credit for 114 days served), placed on 30 months probation. Fines and restitution totaled $5,708.

Andrew Green, no address given, pled guilty to theft under $500 and was sentenced to periodic imprisonment for 30 days and placed on 12 months probation. He was also fined $190.

Tim Bream, Savanna, pled guilty to consumption of alcohol as a minor and was sentenced to 12 months court supervision, 30 hours of community service, must undergo alcohol treatment, and was fined $359.

Earnest Walls, Savanna, pled guilty to consumption of alcohol as a minor and was sentenced to 18 months court supervision, 30 hours of community service, must undergo alcohol treatment, and was fined $359.

Bradley Wampfler, Cedarville, pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 20 days in jail. He was placed on 18 months probation and was fined $795.

Christopher Longmire, Savanna, pled guilty to battery and was placed on 12 months probation. He must complete 20 hours of community service and was fined $382.

Laura Homewood, Lena, pled guilty to criminal defacement of property and was placed on 12 months court supervision and must perform 20 hours of community service. She was fined $157.

Michael Street, Savanna, pled guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, credit for time served. He was fined $412.

Gary Crete Jr., Shannon, pled guilty to consumption of alcohol as a minor and was placed on one year probation and fined $494.

Monique Camacho, Mount Carroll, pled guilty to consumption of alcohol as a minor and was sentenced to 12 months court supervision, 30 hours of community service, must undergo alcohol treatment, and was fined $420.

Whiteside County

On July 5, 2012 at approximately 8:00 pm the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Winnebago County Coroner’s indicating the 15 year old victim of the farming accident earlier in the day, had passed away.

The accident remains under investigation and no further details are available at this time.

The name of the victim is being withheld at the request of the family.

Morrison Weekly Activity

Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following arrests made and citations issued since Monday, July 2, 2012.

The following Arrests* are reported.

On Thursday, July 5, 2012, Morrison Police arrested Beuhla Holcomb, age 28 of Morrison, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Holcomb with Violation of Probation. Holcomb was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Sunday, July 8, 2012 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a complaint of retail theft at Family Dollar, Morrison. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Shandra K. Carter, age 30 of Morrison, for Retail Theft and Possession of Cannabis (10-30 grams). Carter was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.
