Stephenson County Electoral Board Hearing

Vici Otte, Stephenson County Clerk & Recorder, reports that a Hearing of the County Officers Electoral Board was held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Stephenson County Courthouse - Stephenson County Board Room.

Preliminary Matters Regarding Procedures and Rules were addressed, then the hearings were held in the following order as time permits:

Objections by Salvatore “Sol” Detente, Rebecca Quiggle, and James Allen DeMeester to the nomination papers of the Lincoln Legacy party and of all candidates submitted by the Lincoln Legacy Party.

Objections by William Hadley and L. Jeannine Ohlinger to the nomination papers of Ken Bohnsack and Dan Neal as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District E.

Objection by Christopher Clukey to the nomination papers of John J. Blum and Joy D. Harris as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District F.

Objection by Ron Werntz to the nomination papers of Cynthia Faulkner and Larry Murphy as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District G.

Objection by David Schexnayder to the nomination papers of Joseph M. Green and Catherine A. Stevens as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District H.

Objections by James G. Schultz and Ken Ward to the nomination papers of Scott A. Arnold and Jeremy R. Monigold as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District I.

Objections by Jerry Clay and David S. Martindale to the nomination papers of James A. Ketzel and Stephen Kneubuehl as candidates for the office of Stephenson County Board Member, District L.

The hearings were held after the Prairie Advocate went to press. The Lincoln Legacy Party retained Michael Phillips as their attorney and the hearing was continued to July 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Board Room at the County Courthouse.
