How Can I Avoid Heat Stroke When Exercising Outside?
Most people who have experienced heat stroke never see it coming because, in this scenario, you are exercising and sweating and that’s why it is so deadly. Just ask any local football coach.
Welcome to Illinois, it just so happens that high humidity and dehydration are the ingredients for a perfect storm and I am not talking about rain!
One of the first precautions I always take is to hydrate myself before exercising. (Please note drinks with alcohol dehydrate your body)
The second one would be DO NOT EXERCISE AT HIGH NOON. There is a reason you see all the die hard runners doing their thing at dusk and dawn. These two parts of the day are when the suns intensity is at its lowest.
So The Answer to our question is Hydration and planning before exercising outside can help us avoid heat stroke
Heres to your health!
