Route For The Carroll County Tractor DriveTuesday, August 5, 2008 This year, in order to avoid any confusion based on the route and for those who want to see the tractors drive by, here is the scheduled route. The tractors will leave the Carroll County Fairgrounds at 8:15 a.m. and head north to Shannon on Otter Creek Drive up to Maple Grove Road, then to the Shannon Route. The tractors will travel through downtown Shannon around 10 a.m., then stop at Lions Park until 10:30 a.m. The parade will then head west to Lake Carroll via Georgetown Road to Lovers Spring Road, then north to Zier Rd., then west to Lake Carroll Boulevard. The group is eating lunch at the Lake Carroll Clubhouse and will be driving all of Lake Carroll Boulevard in their travels. Then it's back to Lanark via Zier Road to Timber Road to Stone Bridge Road to Carroll St. into Lanark. The tractors will stop for a brief visit at the Lanark City Park. The expected arrival time in Lanark is 1:45 p.m., and will head back to Milledgeville at 2:15 p.m. The plan is currently to go through downtown Lanark south on Broad St. (IL Rt. 73) to get to Dimon Road, and then to Willow Rd. and back to Otter Creek Drive.
