MOUNT CARROLL – Charlie’s Bar and Grill in Mount Carroll has been able to draw some amazing talent to it’s new music stage, helping make the city the kind of place musicians want to come and play and be heard.

This coming Friday, September 15th the stage will be lit up by Nashville artists Frank and McKenna Grace Carter. The brother and sister duo are more of the talented progeny of Loren musician, Forrest Carter Rische, who will likely take the stage to play with his son and daughter.

McKenna Grace is a top vocalist and songwriter, and Frank is one of the best flat acoustic pickers in the business. In addition to playing Charlie’s on the 15th – there will be no cover for the show – the duo will also grace the stages at The Grape Escape in Galena on September 14th starting at 8:30 pm, Minnihans Irish Pub in Rockton on September 19th beginning at 8:30 pm, and The Bootlegger in Hanover on September 20th, from 3 pm-7 pm.

If you missed hearing McKenna Grace and Frank this past Sunday at the open mic run (that goes from 4 to 7 pm every Sunday at Charlie’s) by “The Cowboy and the Lady” Forrest Carter Rische and Wendy Marie Slack, then you need to make sure you make it out to Charlie’s this Friday night for a night of amazing music, coupled Charlie’s improved menu, great atmosphere, and – if you’re not careful – dancing.
