8-22-12 at 2:30 pm - Adam Dale Johannsen, age 26 of Fulton, was stopped by deputies in Fulton for speeding 39/30 mph. He was arrested and cited for the speeding offense as well as No Valid Illinois Driver’s License. Adam was released with a Notice to Appear.
8-23-12 at 8:30 am - Route 30 at 9th Avenue in Rock Falls - Tamera Lee Wright, age 32 of Rock Falls was arrested for Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License. She was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear.
8-23-12 at 10:46 am - Nathaniel T. Law, age 20 of Savanna, was stopped on IL Route 84 near Garden Plain Road for tinted windows and arrested for the offense plus Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. His Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond.
8-27-12 at 9:30 pm - Riverdale Road Canal Parking Lot - Amber L Winters, age 32 of Chadwick was arrested for Possession of Cannabis Less Than 2.5 Grams. She was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear.
8-28-12 at 12:16 am - While on foot patrol in a Sterling Subdivision, deputies came across Matthew M. Kinnaman, age 26 of Sterling smoking cannabis. He was arrested for the offense of Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and released with a Notice to Appear.
8-28-12 at 0108 am - Nicole Jean Smith, age 28 of Sterling, was stopped in Sterling for defective exhaust. She was ultimately arrested for Operating with Expired Registration Sticker, Driving While License Suspended, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Nicole was released on a Notice to Appear.
8-28-12 at 2:30 am - Lawrence Park, Amanda L Gould, age 23 of Rock Falls was arrested on an active warrant out of Whiteside County for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Offense. She was unable to post bond and transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
8-28-12 at 8:18 pm - Trevor M. Francque, age 19 of Sterling, was stopped in Sterling for tinted windows and ultimately arrested for DUI-Drugs as well as the tinted windows violation. Passenger Adem Akiti, age 19 of Sterling was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Both were released with a Notice to Appear.
9-01-12 at 0128 am - Juan A. Luevano, age 19 of Rock Falls was stopped for no front registration plate in Rock Falls and arrested for Operation Uninsured Motor Vehicle, No Valid Driver’s License, and No Front Registration Plate. He was released with a Notice to Appear.
9-02-12 at 1:30 am - Route 30 at Melvin Road, Aaron J Johnson, age 19 of Stillman Valley was arrested for Driving with Suspended Driver’s License. He was released from the scene on a notice to Appear.
9-02-12 at 1:43 am - Megan A. Jacobs, age 31 of Erie was arrested for (2) counts of DUI following an investigation of a suspicious vehicle on Frog Pond Road near Thome Road, rural Erie.
9-02-12 at 3:00 am - Yager Road near Mellotts Road, Katherine M Kenseth, age 20 of Morrison was arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor. She was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear.
9-02-12 at 9:55 pm - Steven Lee Hellman, age 46 of Swisher, Iowa, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 43 and arrested for the speeding offense, 80/65 MPH as well as No Valid Driver’s License. He was issued a Notice to Appear and released.
9-02-12 at 9:45 pm - Deputies, with assistance from the Erie Police Department, responded to a reported underage party in rural Erie. Following the investigation, the following subjects were arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor: Brandon D. Johnson, age 18 of East Moline, IL; Justin R. Noel, age 20 of East Moline, IL; 17 year old female from Silvis, IL; Aric D. Brokaw, age 18 of Silvis, IL; 17 year old male from Moline, IL; Ricky D. Riley, age 20 of Rapid City, IL; Michael R. McNaught, age 19 of Hillsdale, IL; Austin J. Ortiz, age 18 of Port Byron, IL; Ethan G. Horst, age 20 of Hillsdale, IL; Alexander C. Garrison, age 18 of Erie, IL; Brennin J. Mask, age 19 of Erie, IL; 15 year old female from Erie, IL; 17 year old male from Erie, IL; Tommy J. Engelkens, age 19 of Albany, IL; 17 year old male of Erie, IL; Jacob D. Engelkens, age 20 of Morrison, IL; Cody J. Clark, age 19 of Erie, IL; 16 year old female of Clinton, IA; 17 year old female from Erie, IL; 17 year old female from Lyndon, IL; Alec S. Thruman, age 18 of Erie, IL; Kyle L. Zimmer, age 18 of Moline, IL also charged with Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer; and Joshua T.W. Priest, age 23 of Moline arrested for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
9-02-12 at 11:36 pm - Casy A. Van Rycke, age 34 of Erie, stopped in Rock Falls for equipment violation(s) and arrested for Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle along with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Notice to Appear. Passenger, Katrina K. Buchmann, age 35 of San Francisco, CA, arrested on an outstanding Rock Island County Warrant for Failure to Appear Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle as well as Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Katrina was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail. Rock Falls Police assisted on scene.
9-03-12 at 03:02 am - Derik P. Lebarron, age 21 of Rock Falls, stopped in Sterling for observed equipment violations and cited for tinted windows as well as No Valid Driver’s License. He was released with a Notice to Appear and a written warning for other equipment violations.

Morrison Police Investigating Burglaries
The Morrison Police Department continues to investigate five (5) burglaries that took place between Tuesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the area of West Wall and West Morris Streets, Morrison. During these burglaries, property such as cash, a purse, an ashtray, an iPod, and canned beverages were taken. The suspect(s) are entering unlocked vehicles and unlocked garages.
Chief Melton would also like to remind and strongly urge residents to:
- Keep their vehicles, garages, and homes locked/secured,
- Leave outside lighting on which can also help deter criminal activity, and
- Immediately report anything suspicious to police regardless of how minor or trivial it may seem at the time.
