Before the start of Friday night's varsity game in Savanna, the colors were presented on the football field and

SAVANNA West Carroll came out firing on all cylinders Friday night in Savanna. After putting thirteen first quarter points on the board the
Thunder added twenty seven second quarter points to take the 40-14 win.
Ethan Baisden led the West Carroll ground game, piling up 147 yards and two second quarter touchdowns. Matt LaShelle added 78 yards while
Joe Sullivan had 67 and David Walter contributed 53.
Next up for West Carroll is EPC next Friday night in Lanark.

EPC Airs Out Victory Over Galena

The Wildcats took to the air Friday evening in Galena enroute to a 34-6 win over the Pirates. Wildcat QB Drake Walker hooked up
with receiver Tony Dunlap for scores of 62, 69 and 10 yards.
Running back Alex Maurer also scored twice on runs of 1 and 87 yards. Walker completed 7 of 10 passes for 181 yards while Maurer gained 169 on
the ground.
The Wildcats host West Carroll next Friday in Lanark.
Freeport Aquin Edges Missiles

Despite being down 13-0 at halftime, the Missiles clawed their way back in the third quarter. But it wasn't enough as the Missiles took the
13-8 loss.
Kurt Landis scored on a 1 yard run and caught the 2 point conversion pass from Dillon Eich to make it a 13-8 contest. That was as close as
the Milledgeville squad could come as the Pirates held on for the five point win to hand the Missiles their second loss of the season. Carrigan Hunter
led Milledgeville with 134 yards on 29 carries.
The Missiles host the Stockton Blackhawks next Friday night at Floyd Daub Field.

29th Annual Fall Trappers Rendezvous
Fur trappers and hunters from all northern Illinois counties will gather for the Fur Takers of America Chapter 17-B, 29TH Annual
Fall Rendezvous. The rendezvous will be held September 26-27 at the Carroll County fairgrounds in Milledgeville, Illinois. Grounds open at 6:00 am.
The event will feature trapping demonstrations by nationally known trappers, trap equipment, supply and lure dealers from all over the Midwest.
Also featured will be a complete archery range with 3D targets and on going instructions by well-known professional archers. An archery swap meet will also
be featured.
Saturday night will feature the annual hog roast with Rick Fredericks, followed by "The World Possum Toss" contest hosted by the "Possum King"
Joe House, noted author of the best seller, "Possums by the Millions." The public is invited to attend this event.
