STOCKTON – Many people don’t know about Midwest Industrial Trade School, located in Stockton, Illinois. President Chad Eshelman opened the business in September of 2011 hoping to provide students with the opportunity to learn a unique trade and help to find them jobs.

“We specialize in pipe welding,” Eshelman stated. “There is a big demand right now. I have clients calling regularly wanting welders. It’s a specialized trade.”

The school strives to provide accessible quality educational programs and services which anticipate and respond to personal and community needs and expectations. Midwest Industrial Trade School offers numerous skilled trade career technology courses. Well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated instructors guide the educational experiences of students in small, personalized classes.

Almost all faculty members are specialist’s in their fields. The Welding Technical course will prepare the student with the opportunity to obtain a skilled trade career as a Maintenance Mechanic or Construction Welder. The Pipe Fitting Technical course will offer the career opportunity as a Construction Pipe Fitter or Residential Plumber.

The school’s staff offer help in setting educational and career goals, assistance in preparing for a job search and help in finding a job within the selected career field chosen. Each class is nine weeks long, consisting of 8 hour days, five days a week.

“We have had 100% job placement so far, but you have to have a good work ethic,” Eshelman advised.

The next class is currently scheduled to begin on October 15th. Faculty members are also available to help students identify concerns, make important educational decisions, adjust to the school atmosphere, and improve personal relationships and set goals for the future.

Fork lift training, blueprint training, hazard training welding classes, fire extinguisher training, and many other aspects are offered at M.I.T. Faculty members offer quality personalized education with a student/instructor radio of 14-1 in the classroom setting, and an 8-1 ratio in laboratories.
