PART III — Dud Risley retired from the traveling life of a minor league player in about 1908. What he did in the ensuing ten years is not known so far. An earlier item in the local newspaper had said at the end of a season that he would “go on the road selling advertising specialties.” Maybe he worked as a traveling salesman this era. We’ll let you know when we find it.
