Excellent Turn-Out at Chicago Tea Party(Top right) There was a Northwest Illinois connection at the Wed., April 15 Chicago Tea Party, a peaceful protest against big government policies. At the Daley Center Plaza, ready to march to the Kluzinski Federal Building Plaza are (l to r) John McConnel of Mt. Carroll, Marc Albertario of Prospect Heights, Ed Veth, a retired City of Chicago Police Chief, and James Davis of Carpentersville. Also from NW Illinois but not in the photo was Frank Flack, formerly of Savanna, now living in Freeport, and Dan Avey, Freeport. (Bottom right) Koryn, Courtney and Kendall of Sycamore attended the protest with their parents, Carolyn and Wes. Wes said it is a "learning experience" for the girls, and will be writing a report in lieu of missing school that day. See Wes and his family, and other protesters at the Tea Party, as they comment on their reasons for taking the time to voice their opinions at a public protest in exclusive video below.
