Temperatures in Northwest Illinois dipped into the low-30’s in the early hours of Monday morning, May 13. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, May will see above normal rainfall and below normal temperatures. They are correct so far, but the Almanac predicted April 20 as the last frost. Does that mean we can bump their prediction of the first frost on October 24 back three weeks? Time will tell.
