Chadwick Couple Celebrate 50 Years with Open House

Lyle and Carol Cartwright will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, February 25, 2012.

Come and enjoy an Open House from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Chadwick American Legion Hall. The party is hosted by Joe & Peggy Cartwright and Angie & Kevin Krol.

Lyle and Carol were married February 24, 1962 at the Mt. Carroll Methodist Church. They have lived on the family farm, 1353 Jefferson Rd., Chadwick, IL 61014 their whole married life.

The couple asks that gifts be omitted.

Bocker-Tessendorf Engaged

Terry and Vicki Bocker of Lanark are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carlee Alice Bocker, to Derek Thomas Tessendorf, son of Thomas and Janine Tessendorf of Kent.

The bride-to-be, a 2006 graduate of Eastland High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2010. She is employed by the Jo Daviess County Farm Service Agency in Elizabeth.

Her fiancé, a 2006 graduate of Pearl City High School, attended Highland Community College. He is currently employed by Keltner Farms in Pearl City.

The couple plan to be married on August 4th, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lena.

Ruters Welcome Baby Girl

Kyle & Nicole Ruter of Shannon are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter weighing 6 lbs., 13 oz. and measuring in at 19½ inches long. Kylee Marie was born Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Maternal grandparents are Bill & Diane Nelson of Shannon and paternal grandparents are Tim & Barb Ruter, also of Shannon.

Kylee’s maternal great-grandmother is Phyllis Osmundson of Story City, IA and her paternal great-grandmothers are Phyllis Ruter of Shannon and Gladys Typer of Polo.

Heerens Welcome New Son

Kevin and Keri Heeren of Polo, Illinois are the proud parents of a new son, Camren Lucas Heeren, born on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Maternal grandparents are Connie and Dean Lower of Lanark, Illinois. Paternal grandparents are Deb and Larry DeWall of Lanark and Jerry and Cinda Heeren of Milledgeville. Paternal great-grandparents are Henrietta Heeren of Shannon and Betty Traum of Lanark.
