Bausman’s Welcome New Son

Chris and Margaret Bausman of Winnebago welcomed a son, Hayden Patrick Smith Bausman, born August 5, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Hayden joins a sister, Addison.

Grandparents are Pat and Diane Bausman of Mt. Carroll, Judge Lawrence Smith Jr. and Rev. Donna Hacker Smith of Champaign and Lee and Peggy Mader of Mt. Carroll. Great grandparents are Gloria Bausman of Mt. Carroll and Wilmer and Doris Smith of Rock City.

50 year celebration

Come help Darrell and Janice Workman celebrate 50 years of marriage on August 14, 2010 at Lakeview Golf and Country Club, 23319 Hazel Road, Sterling, IL. The celebration time is anytime after 5:00 p.m. and food to be served around 6:30 p.m.

Darrell and Janice were married at Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL on August 12, 1960.

Darrell was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire as a truck driver for 34 years and now helps Dave Cook Farms. Janice has been employed by R.C. Smith Transportation for 34 years.

Their family consists of a daughter, Julie Jordan and a son Arlyn (Linda) Workman. 3 granddaughters Jackie Shetler, Amanda Workman, Rachel Workman and 3 grandsons Nathan & Justin Stralow and Todd Workman. 3 great grandchildren Kaylee, Isaak and Kody Shetler.

No invitations are being sent and the couple request no gifts.

Plock completes basic training

LANARK—Pvt. Justin Plock graduated from basic combat training on July 29th after completing an intense ten week program at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri.

He is currently at Fort Sill in Oklahoma for six weeks of A.I.T.

Justin is the son of Kelly Plock.

 

 

 

Fair-Dollinger exchange vows

Donald Fair and Warren “Butch” Dollinger were united in marriage on July 23, 2010 at the chapel in the VA Hospital in Iowa City, IA. The ceremony was performed by Pastor John McKinstry of the First Christian Church of Coralville, IA. A World War II veteran stood up for the couple. The couple are both Navy veterans of the Vietnam Wr. The couple are surrounded and supported by family and friends. They have been together 40 years and wanted to honor their love for each other by pledging to be “together till death do they part.”

The couple are proud to be gay and happy to be able to marry and solidate their love for each other.

The couple will reside at their home at 8732 South Hummel St., Savanna, Illinois 61074.
