Habbens Celebrate 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lee Habben of Sterling will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 2, 2011.

Ronald Lee Habben and Nancy Bielema were married September 2, 1961, at The First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, Illinois.

They are the parents of Dan (Beth) Habben (Sterling), Debra (David) Shuman (Sterling) and David (Sarah) Habben (Dixon).

They have six grandchildren, Logan, Abbie Habben, Brandon, Tim Snyder, Ryan (Morgan) Shuman, and Joey Habben And one great-grandchild Marcoree Mae Shuman.

Ron is retired from farming in the Coleta area and Nancy is employed by the Illinois Education Association in Sterling.

Phyllis Forth Celebrates 90th

Phyllis Forth, formerly of Chadwick, will celebrate her 90th birthday on September 8, 2011.  Anyone wanting to wish her a “happy birthday” may send her a card at 1106 E. Benton Street, Mt. Carroll, IL 61053, which is where she currently lives with her daughter Bev (John) Lundquist.

Huisengas Welcome Son

Congratulations to Kristin and Jeff Huisenga of Fulton on the birth of their son, Lucas Renyold. Lucas was born at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, IA on August 4 at 8:17 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 0.7oz and was 20.5 inches long. He is welcomed home by big brothers Jacob 4 years old and Benjamin 2 years old.

His maternal grandparents are Scott and Renee Temple of Morrison. His paternal grandparents are Sandy Huisenga and Ed Tucker of Fulton and the late Roger Huisenga.

Maternal great grandparents are Ren and Ruth VanDerLeest of Lyndon, IL and Ike and Mary Temple of Morrison. His paternal great grandparents are Willard and Alice Gould and the late George and Evelyn Huisenga all of Fulton, IL.

Temples Welcome Son

Justin and Tammy Temple of Rockford, IL welcomed Owen Ty to their family on Friday evening, July 8 at 8:26 pm. Owen was born at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He weighed 8 lbs. 11oz and was 20.5 inches long. Owen’s maternal grandparents are Lorren and Rose McCammant of Millersburg, IA and his paternal grandparents are Scott and Renee Temple of Morrison.

Owen is also welcomed home by maternal great-grandparents Dennis and Shirley Gent of Webster, IA and paternal great-grandparents Ren and Ruth VanDerLeest of Lyndon, IL and Ike and Mary Temple of Morrison.
