Skiles Celebrate 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Skiles of Savanna, Illinois will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Saturday April 9, 2011 with an open house hosted by their children and grandchildren from 1-4pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 318 Chicago Avenue, Savanna, IL.

All friends and relatives are invited to join in the celebration.

Raymond C. Skiles and Joanne Loomis were married on April 8, 1961 at Our Lady of Cenacle Catholic Church, RIchmond Hill, NY,. They are the parents of Cathy (Kurt) Brunner of Mt. Carroll, Illinois and Raymond (Julie) Skiles of Savanna, Illinoiis. They have four grand-daughters Kate Hamilton, Elizabeth Brunner and Shelby and Abbey Skiles.

Mantzke 50th

Don and Judy Mantzke of Shannon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 10th with an Open House at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Please omit gifts.

Don Mantzke and the former Judy Kunkle were married April 1, 1961 by the Rev. Harold McElvany at Court Street Methodist Church in Rockford.

Don is a retired school teacher from the Eastland School District and Judy is retired from First State Bank Shannon-Polo.

They have two children, David (Julie) Mantzke of Somonauk and Amy Snyder of Shannon. There are six grandchildren.

Kenneth Friederich (with wife Rose) celebrated his 80th birthday at his home in Savanna,IL on Saturday, March 12th, 2011. He was joined by his children Mark (St. Louis), Dawn (Chicago), Scott (Chicago), and Lisa (Dubuque), and their families.
